[in the kitchen, buzz is kicking some stuff into the bin that he might've... broken, while flying into a full speed. it's so very easy to stop being careful when you're too used to humans not being around to catch you! this is their house, he'll do whatever he wants!]

[he leaves it at that, clearing the way for bo to come downstairs. there's not... too much of a mess, but he knows he should make more allowances for a porcelain toy, even if she is unbreakable to him. it's the sort of thing he'd do for woody and jessie, too. put a couple towels over the countertops, for example, so the hard edges have a little bit of cushioning.]

[ she's been working on her agility over the years; it's amazing the things you learn about yourself when you're not completely cooped up on top of a lamp anymore, and even in spite of her delicate construction she's pretty nimble, light-footed with quick reflexes.

have there been near-misses before? sure, but we won't talk about those. there are reasons both her arms are bandaged, after all.

by the time she hitches a ride down the bannister with her crook and makes it into the kitchen, she's peering around the large space that is clearly not designed for anyone of their size. sometimes it takes a little longer for them to all find each other in a normal room. ]

[buzz has taken a leaf out of peter's book, looks like. his voice comes from above bo-- she'll see him hanging upside down on the kitchen light. not in any need of help, but having shot the grappling hook up and over one of the metal prongs. he has the rope wrapped around one leg, the other braced against it, arms free to wave at her.

[ she nods understandingly, deducing it halfway through her question, although that begs another of how, exactly, she's going to manage the same path up to where he's dangling or if he's just going to let himself drop down eventually.

[it was a close call, almost being in need of help, but buzz managed to just about avoid it by mercifully untangling himself in time.]

I had high expectations! [he calls out with a laugh, flipping around and grabbing the shoot-y part of the gun, extending the rope to its full length so he can drop onto the table, then jump down to meet her. it takes a few seconds for the gun to pull the grappling hook back to its nozzle, but it does so. this isn't some plastic piece of junk (sorry, gary), this is legit!] Here.

Well, no one can say you don't aim for the stars. Or maybe just the ceiling.

[ It's definitely a high-tech piece of equipment from where she's standing, and when he finally makes it down to her level and hands it over to her she turns it over in her grip, an impressed hum in her throat. ]

Yeah. I did ask Sodder for it-- I felt... kind of weird asking a kid for something, but there have been too many situations that could've been less... almost dying-y if I'd had one of these. I gave her one of Mami's cupcakes! So it worked.

[oh, but he feels so weird and guilty asking a kid for something. it's better when it's an unexpected one like his telepathic hat or the laser. this one... whoof, he just decided it was an urgent need, after that little trip back to the incinerator.]
